Our Mission

Our vision for K9 Freekz Dog Rescue is to save dogs of all sizes and breeds by placing them in a loving foster home until adoption.  We are an all volunteer, foster home based, 501c3 certified rescued licensed in the state of Nebraska, established in May 2014.

K9 Freekz is committed to providing all dogs that come through the rescue with the best possible care while waiting for their forever home.  We strive to acclimate them to life outside of abuse they may have suffered, neglect, a shelter environment, and/or abandonment.  We offer the best vet care, with all dogs being spayed/neutered, UTD on all shots and microchipped when ready for adoption.

We assist in encouraging responsible pet ownership with emphasizing the need for spay/neuter being a #1 priority.  We also do our part to break down the negative stigma regarding bully breeds.

We do our best to work with area shelters and other rescue groups to develop a network of supporters and volunteers to create a better world for homeless dogs.

Our Team

Our team consists of over 50 volunteers.  Our volunteers do more than just foster.  They help transport, process applications, check references, help set up events, gather donations, consult and train, dog sit, create silent auction baskets, create digital media, assist with Meet & Greets, manage paper work, and so much more!
